From the beginning it worked. I travel for a living out of state for 5 days before I return home. No issues and not very many dead spots at all. To me it's better then cells phones. You don't have to start a call and end a call like you do with cell phones. Great back up top for emergencies

I bought one for my sister who's in another state, in the mountains, about 400 miles apart , she has always had questionable cel phone service, amazingly with these devices we have had no problem at all, she hears me call and I hear her when she calls.
